Contribution of the Program to the region
The PPGME is designed to meet a significant demand in the Amazon region, where there are a large number of students who wish to continue their studies and do not have the financial resources or possibility to undertake a trip to other regions of the state or country , resulting in the low development of the Amazon region and the shortage of qualified human resources to carry out teaching and research activities in the region. The Program has brought new perspectives to the advances of education and scientific research in the Amazon.
